Welcome to Colchester Karate Academy where you will find a friendly family orientated karate  club offering Traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate for all aged 3+ in our FULL TIME venue in the heart of Colchester.  
Our fully qualified, highly skilled and experienced instructors will guide you and help you achieve your goals in the club whether you do karate for pleasure or for competitive purposes.
Our classes are varied with specialist classes for children  aged 3 - 8 known as Lil’Dragons as well as for children aged 7 - 14 known as Nifty Ninjas.  The curriculum for both these age groups are incorporated in our Character Development with Life and Safety Skills program.  This includes LIFE SKILLS such as respect, discipline, perseverance, integrity and as well as focus on giving your child a positive attitude to fitness and life in general.  Colchester Karate Academy  also place huge emphasis on SAFETY SKILLS especially  Stranger Danger, Fire Safety, First Aid and our unique BULLY BUSTER COURSES.  Keep and eye out for our anual spring and summer camps and many other social events.
We have mixed age and grade classes as well as beginners and advanced classes. Some classes enable families of all ages to train together whilst other classes separate children and adults from each other to enable a varied and specialised teaching system for all ages and needs.
Our adults further enjoy the benefits of training at our Early Bird class on Fridays at Colchester Leisure World starting at 6.40am.

Colchester Karate Academy is currently the only karate club in Colchester who have been awarded Club SX Gold accreditation and have recently had their accreditation renewed until 31st December 2009. (Click here to see the certificate).

Please note all our instructors have CLEAR enhanced CRB checks, child protection training and first aid training. Qualifications, Grades, CRB checks or certificates as well as insurance are always available for viewing at our venue. We won’t be offended if you ask to see any of these documents as we know you just want the best for yourself and your family.

The photos will expire on 13th July after which you will no longer be able to order them online.
