In addition to our usual Shotokan Karate classes for adults (aged 15+) we also offer the following programmes.

Classes for 3 - 5½ year olds) Through games youngsters learn basic fitness, balance, co-ordination, flexibility, team work, goal setting and some basic karate skills. Their work is disguised as play.Once a month they will complete a topic on either martial arts skills, life skills or safety skills, for which they will receive a reward badge to be sewn on their karate suits. Class sizes limited to 10.
Classes for 5½ - 7 year olds. . Catering for the older child, Punching Pandas will focus more on traditional techniques with less play, than is seen in the Lil’Dragons classes. They too, will complete life and safety skills challenges and receive awards for those each month.

Classes for 7 - 14 year olds These high energy, fast paced, fun filled classes guide children through the basic Shotokan curriculum from 10th Kyu (Beginner) to Black Belt. Whilst not compulsory we encourage students to take part and complete the monthly challenges to aid in Character Building with essential Life and Safety skills. Children are awarded for their efforts.
XMA (Xtreme Martial Arts) Extreme Martial Arts is an amalgamation of a number of martial arts styles combined with acrobatics and music. It generally appeals to the more daring and particularly teenagers and those who would like to perform. See here for more info.
FIT-Defence A ladies only circuit based fitness class open to the public. All round exercise is followed followed by pragmatic self-defence tactics to aid in Personal Safety on all levels. £5/session or £40 for 10 sessions paid up front. Instructor Steven Timperley,
